  • WHY DON'T YOU HAVE A FACEBOOK OR INSTAGRAM PAGE?
    Because we believe Facebook (who also own Instagram) is an unethical and morally bankrupt company who care little for the privacy of the people who use it and less about the mental health of those people. We don’t want to be part of that. It might not be good for us, but we want to stand up for what we believe in.
  • CAN I SUBMIT A BLOG TO INCLUDE ON YOUR SITE?
    You can certainly submit one but we reserve the right to publish it (or not) on the site. If you want to send one, please be aware that it needs to be original work and not a post you've sent to a thousand different websites hoping one replies (you know who you are). It also needs to be exclusive (i.e. not published on another site) and the subject matter needs to be relevant to our industry.
  • HOW MUCH DOES A WEBSITE COST?
    Probably the question we get asked more than any other. It’s a hard question to answer. It’s a bit like asking “how much is a car?” The price ranges from low to very high and without knowing the kind of car you want, how can we know the cost? It’s the same with websites. It’s impossible to answer that without knowing about bit more about what you want. We know that’s not the answer you might want, but bear with us. The price really depends on the features you want included, the size of the site (i.e. number of pages), who will write the content, who will host it, who manages it going forward (updates, promotions, etc), what ongoing services you want, do you need e-commerce functionality, are you wanting it building from scratch or via a template, the list goes on and on... and on. We’re not trying to be evasive, just honest. We can do all of these things and we'd love to help, but a price based on an arbitrary question isn't how it should work. What we can tell us is that if you're a small business, we understand all those challenges because we are one too. We know how important it is to stretch every penny to maximise its impaxct and we'll absolutely help you do that. Likewise, if you're a charity, non-profit or community group, we have extensive experience in that field too. If you need a realistic price, please get in touch so we can ask those questions and really understand what it is you want and get you lowest price possible. Don’t accept a low price from anyone who hasn’t asked you those kind of questions. You’ll pay for it later for sure when those 'extras' you absolutely need but no-one mentioned to you come to the fore. The price you get from us is the price you pay for everything you want.
  • WHY SHOULD I PAY ANYONE FOR A WEBSITE WHEN I CAN BUILD ONE FOR FREE FROM SOME WEBSITES?
    No arguing with that. Of course, there are sites that will let you create you a free website, and if that’s the way you want to go, then that’s absolutely fine. The thing is, ‘free websites’ tend to look like free websites. They have limited features, fixed URLs, poor navigation, little to no SEO and generally look cheap because, well, they are (obviously). If that’s the image you want to portray for your business or brand, then by all means go that way. We like to believe you think more of your business than that. We can’t promise you a website that’s free, but it’ll cost a whole lot less than you might think and will look incredible.
  • WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS?
    As stated in our Terms and Conditions (linked here and at the bottom of every page), if it's web development, we need 33% of the balance at the start of work (once you’ve accepted the quote), 33% once work has completed but prior to launch and the remaining 34% prior to going live.
  • WILL MY WEBSITE BE SECURE?
    If it’s hosted through us and our partners, indeed it will. If not, then that’s a question for the hosting company you use. All we know is that our websites offer free SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates for all our domains and any third-party domains connected and pointing to one of our sites. With SSL, you can be confident your website visitors will enjoy a secure connection on every single webpage. We also reinforce security and provide 2 layers of DDoS (Distributed Denial-of-Service) protection against potential vulnerabilities.
  • ARE YOUR WEBSITES RESPONSIVE?
    Absolutely! All our websites respond to the device on which they are being viewed, whether that’s a computer, smartphone or tablet. Your CubeSquared website will adapt to the device and look fantastic at any size at no extra cost to you.
  • WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY SITE IS LAUNCHED? WHAT IF I NEEDS IT UPDATING? WHO MANAGES THE SITE FROM THEN ON?
    Great question! Well three great questions. We provide 4 weeks of free support to every client from the date of launch; this allows us help you post-launch, which is usually the busiest time in terms of updates and site maintenance. This time covers any teething problems you might have or bug fixes that come to light (we'll try and squash them all before launch, obviously, but there's nothing like hundreds, if not thousands, of people accessing the site to identify bugs a small-scale test couldn't. After those 4 weeks, it's really up to you how it's managed. We can continue to support you for a competitive monthly fee. The cost, obviously, will depend on the amount of updates or level of support you’re needing. If you’re like DFS, the sofa people, and have a new sale every 5 minutes, or want to upload 10 blogs a day, then obviously the cost will be higher than if you just want something doing a couple of times a month. Once you understand your needs, let us know and we’ll do our best to help. Alternatively, you can do the site updates yourself. We’ll provide the a User Guide that walks you through the process; whether it’s uploading blog posts, adding new products, creating events, whatever it may be, we’ll give you a simple document that walks you through the process.
  • WHICH HOSTING SERVERS DO YOU USE?
    To ensure your website has optimal load times and to give you full global coverage, we run unified, multi-cloud hosting servers including Google Cloud, Fastly and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This gives you industry-leading resilience and limitless scalability, all fully-managed for you.
  • WILL MY WEBSITE EXPERIENCE ANY OUTAGES?
    We would be lying if we said there will never be any outages. No service can honestly offer you 100% uptime all the time. The fact is that global and regional outages, outside of our infrastructure or control, are more common than you’d expect. That said, thanks to our automatic disaster recovery and multi-cloud hosting servers, these outages, however small, are rarely experienced by our users. In 2021, clients maintained 99.98% uptime across all our sites and we strive to keep this uptime as high as humanly and technically possible!
  • WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT FOR THE DESIGN I COMMISSION FROM YOU?
    For all the work CubeSquared Digital carry out for you, the copyright transfers to you completely only once the balance of your invoice has been paid in full. During the drafting / creative process, we retain ALL rights to the design or derivatives of it (no getting drafts then running off with them saying you don't like them and then they appear plastered all over your social media a month later!). Once copyright passes, we do, however, reserve the right to use that work in any of our own promotional activities both on- and offline.
  • WHAT'S A ONE-SHOT?
    Well in our context, we mean one of those little jobs that need doing but you don’t know anyone who can actually do it. That’s where we come in! Small stuff that you need done well at a low cost. That’s a one-shot!
  • FOR EXAMPLE?
    Well, you might need your CV updating (or creating from scratch), a PowerPoint presentation revamping or a document proofreading. Maybe you need a background removing from your photo, or short video created with your logo on, it really could be anything.
