2021. The Year of Bold.

Updated: Nov 22, 2022

2020. Well thank goodness that’s over! The year of the devastating COVID19 pandemic, Brexit, untold death, money shortages, job losses, US election chaos, political incompetence, lockdowns, the list goes on!

As we start the new year, we can all only hope for something better to help everyone get through whatever comes next.

At the dawn of 2021, the team here are CubeSquared are focussed on growing the business. Opening a new digital agency towards the end of the year in the middle of a global pandemic might not have seemed like the best idea ever, but here we are. We started and we just about got the business up on its feet. Now we're on our feet it's time to make a stand.

With our first full calendar year ahead of us, we wanted to outline our plans for the 12 months stretching out in front of us. As you might have guessed from the title, as a company, our word for 2021 is bold!

Being bold is going to be at the heart of everything we do. It’s going to define how we think, the decisions we make, the way we work together and how we tackle whatever this year throws at us.

We’re going to be bold in everything we do. Not everything thing we aim for might hit, but we’re not going to shy away from it. The easy road is too overcrowded, so it’s time to go another way.

If we’ve learned anything from the year we’ve just had, it’s that we are always going to do better, be better and live better when we do it together. As the powers-that-be seem hellbent on dividing us, and social media seems to thrive on polarising us against each other, we are going to be bold enough to swim against that particular tide.

Hopefully you’ll have noticed that this site doesn’t really look like most other sites. That’s not just a simple design choice, it’s a bold one. We want to stand out and be bold, we want our content to stand out and we want our clients to stand out too.

Our content strategy for 2021, means we’re (obviously) going to help ourselves and our clients navigate these tricky waters, but we’re also going to through open the virtual doors of this site, particularly this blog, and focus on posting information that will help more people; whether they are potential new customers, clients of other agencies, other agencies themselves or the world at large.

We want to help answer some questions that are perplexing you (well maybe not specifically ‘you’, but the general ‘you’) when it comes to digital marketing, web design or content strategy, you get the idea. If it can help someone somewhere achieve something, then we’re OK with that. That means we’re going to be posting regularly and those posts are going to be varied.

Not everything is going to appeal to everyone, but that’s ok, we hope you find something that might unblock that creative pipe or inspire you to take your own project further.

For anyone that follows us on social media (if you don’t, you really should ;-), we’re going to continue our bold (some would say) irreverent style as we look to grow our audience and connect with our community.

As we mentioned, we’re going to be posting new blogs and content much more regularly and following us on the socials, whether it’s Twitter, LinkedIn or Tumblr, will be the easiest way to keep up-to-date with them as they go live.

We’ve got a lot of great things planned in the year ahead, some we know, others we’re still working on. If last year taught us anything it’s that we never quite know what’s around the corner, but if there’s anything you need for your business in these turbulent times, let us know in the comments below and we’ll help however we can.

At the end of this year we’re going to be another year older, but for all of us at CubeSquared Digital, we’re also going to be another year bolder too (see what we did there!). We hope you’ll be a part of that journey with us.
